Chae Sung-zin

채승진

After graduating from the Department of Applied Arts at Seoul National University in 1985, he earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Industrial Design from Hongik University in 1987 and from the University of Michigan in 1990. In 2007, she completed her Ph.D. in Design Studies at Seoul National University with his dissertation, The Characteristics of Technology and the Formation of Product Archetypes (advisor: Lee Soon-jong). He served as an associate professor in the Department of Design Engineering at the Korea University of Technology and Education from 1994 to 2002. Since 2002, he has been a professor in the Department of Industrial Design within the Division of Design and the Arts at Yonsei University’s Wonju Campus. He is a member of the Korea Society of Industrial Designers and the Korean Society of Design Science.

Jo Kim

Graphic designer. He majored in communication design at Hongik University, earned a master’s degree from Yale University and a PhD from Hongik University. He is the co-author of the A Dictionary of Typography published by Angraphics in 2012, published “Technical Problems in Multilingual Typography” (2016), and designed typefaces such as “Bemby” in 2017 and “Glyphs Sans” in 2018. Hori Michihiro

Hori Michihiro is a lacquer craftsman, manga artist and author from Toyama. He graduated from Takaoka National College (now University of Toyama, School of Art and Design) with a major in lacquerware and Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima-nuri Lacquerware Training Institute. Kim Dae-kwon

He started his career as a font engineer with the first project, “Malgun Gothic”, the first Korean hinting font for UI. He developed various plugins for font editors and gave many technical lectures. Fraser Muggeridge

Fraser Muggeridge attended the University of Reading in the 1990s and studied in the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication. He worked for Sara Chapman at The Letter g before establishing his own studio in 2001.
