Naoto Fukasawa was born in 1956 in Yamanashi, Japan. He graduated from Tama Art University in 1980 and began his career at Seiko Epson, where he worked on advanced designs for watches and other micro-electronic devices. 디자이너 정연종의 작고를 기리며 그의 디자인 사료를 발굴하고 기록하기 위해 동료 및 선후배 디자이너, 연구자들이 자발적으로 구성한 단체이다. 류명식 위원장을 필두로 김현, 명계수, 이영혜, 김성천 위원 등이 참여하고 있으며, 이번 도록 발간과 추모 전시를 통해 정연종이 남긴 한국적 디자인의 가치를 학술적으로 재조명하고 후대에 전달하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
