정혜선, 권민성이 공동으로 운영하는 장황 디자인 스튜디오이다. 이름 SOKO는 Something of Korea의 준말로, 한국 장황이 도달할 수 있는 미지의 가능성을 의미한다. 디자인, 교육, 출판 등 다양한 활동과 장황을 접목하여 전통과 현대를 잇는 새로운 지평을 열고자 한다.

Graduated from the Department of English Literature at Sogang University and the Department of Political Science at the University of Winnipeg. She contributed to the Korean edition of Lonely Planet and has worked for several years on Korean-to-English and English-to-Korean translations for travel magazines, airline in-flight publications, and design journals.

After graduating from Hongik University’s Visual Design Department and KAIST’s MBA program, she worked as a designer in various organizations. She works as a freelance designer and participates in open design projects such as the Open Design Salon at Creative Commons Korea.

Hori Michihiro is a lacquer craftsman, manga artist and author from Toyama. He graduated from Takaoka National College (now University of Toyama, School of Art and Design) with a major in lacquerware and Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima-nuri Lacquerware Training Institute. Gwangju Design Center was established to lead the advancement of the design industry to enhance the competitiveness of local industries and drive regional economic development. Since 2014, it has organized the Gwangju Design Biennale. In 2020, the organization changed its name to Gwangju Institute of Design Promotion (GIDP).

He studied strategic management and marketing at the University of Trier in Germany. As the founder and consultant of Destinable, a service design company for the tourism industry, he has participated in various tourism projects across Europe. Since 2008, he has been teaching service design in the master’s program in Entrepreneurship and Tourism at Management Center Innsbruck(MCI) in Austria.
