She studied literature at Ewha Womans University and Seoul National University and pursued visual design at the Graduate School of Hongik University. After graduation, she worked as the publishing team leader at the design studio AGI Society. Starting with her master’s thesis, Photography as Text and Society as Image: Handling of Photography in Twen」 (2006), she has focused her research on the intersections of photography, text, and design. Currently, she runs the photography book publishing house Aprilsnow (사월의눈), which continues her exploration of these themes. To date, she has curated five photography books and contributed numerous articles on graphic design to various publications. Her authored works include 10 Art Directors of the World (Ahn Graphics, 2009) and Bb: From Basel to Bauhaus (PaTI, 2014, co-author). She also co-translated Graphic Design: A User’s Manual (Semicolon, 2015).

Park Min-gyu

He graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Paju Typography School. He has been fascinated with typography since he was young, living in Canada, where he designed the ParkMingyu typeface and worked at the AG Typography Institute, where he developed the AG Choijeongho Minburi Std. 정연종 추모전 추진위원회

디자이너 정연종의 작고를 기리며 그의 디자인 사료를 발굴하고 기록하기 위해 동료 및 선후배 디자이너, 연구자들이 자발적으로 구성한 단체이다. 류명식 위원장을 필두로 김현, 명계수, 이영혜, 김성천 위원 등이 참여하고 있으며, 이번 도록 발간과 추모 전시를 통해 정연종이 남긴 한국적 디자인의 가치를 학술적으로 재조명하고 후대에 전달하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
